Pakistan is geographically a diverse country bearing High Lands to sea level plateaus and it has such Mesmerizing & Breathtaking views to offer. It consists of diversified cultures, heritage, people, natural landscapes, ethnicity and food.

According to a report by TTCR 2017, the total contribution of travel and tourism to the Pakistan GDP is 350 million US dollars which is expected to be 1 Billion US dollars in 2025. Pakistan is ranked 47 out of 200 countries in an analytical report by World Travel & Tourism Council.
In this informative Travel blog I would like to share some of my personal experiences of Tour de Khunjerab Pass.

We decided to visit Khunjerab Pass and our starting point was Lahore. We took the Motorway and drove straight to Nathiagali. The best places to visit between Lahore and Khunjerab Pass are: Nathiagali, Ayubia (Muree), Abbotabad, Mansehra, Balakot, Shogran,  Siri-Paye, Kaghan, Naran, Saif ul Malook Lake, Lulusar Dudipatsar Lake, Chilas, Nanga Parbat Mountain, Gilgit, Rakaposhi Mountain, Khunjerab Pass (Pakistan-China Border).

The journey was pleasant with beautiful views along the way and perfect road for any car to travel. My suggestion to the adventurers is to take the Abbotabad side road and avoid the Muzaffarabad road. The Total fuel cost of my Honda City 2017 1.3L was 12000rs from Lahore to the Khunjerab Pass including all the toll taxes keeping in mind that the fuel cost was 72rs/L at that time.

It is very best to stay in Nathiagali for one night and start the journey from Nathiagali to Shogran in a single drive and then stay there. After having a good lunch you can book a room in Shogran and stay there for a night by visiting Sir-Paye Mountains in the next day. Now start the journey From shogran to Naran and stop your car there. After that, book a jeep for saif ul Malook lake and enjoy all day there. Come back from Saif Ul Malook and start your journey in the next day to Gilgit. You will visit Chillas and Nanga-Parbat while going to Khunjerab pass and it is very best to visit Nanga-Parbat because it is one of the most beautiful scenes you'll ever see. Now its the time for your final destination i.e Khunjerab Pass Pakistan-China Border. Now you can enjoy. This is the best possible solution for travelers and tourists to stay and be healthy and drive a long way to Khunjerab pass. My advice to the drivers is to keep an open eye for landslides along the way and be very vigilant and always wear seat belts including the passenger seat and drive safe.
